Matthew founded Benesse (UK) Ltd in 2014 based on his interest in supporting companies and projects with a commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of local communities.

 

He has over 30 years operational and commercial experience, working for and supporting local authorities, trusts and private companies at board and senior management level.

His background includes working in sport, leisure, hospitality, cultural services, employment, education and social care, delivering improvements in the customer experience, social, economic and environmental value. 

Matthew works with organisations to deliver transformational change in performance levels, targeting improvement beyond 20%.

Matthew holds an MBA and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity, a member of Social Value UK and the All Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and healthy Childhood.

 

In his younger days he played squash and tennis and swam at county level.
